Dr. Daniel Leach

Dr Daniel Leach is the Medical Director, co-owner and co-founder of QuickDoc. He studied Medicine in the United Kingdom at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2011. Since then he has worked in Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Emergency medicine whilst completing his specialist training as a General Practitioner in Cumbria in the United Kingdom.

He has qualifications in Prehospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) and spent six years working as a PHEM Doctor in the North of England for BASICS and the Great North Air Ambulance Service. Dr Daniel has also worked as a Retrieval Consultant in Australia for the Royal Flying Doctors Service before moving to Canada with his wife in May 2022 to work as a Family Doctor. He is registered with the Royal College of General Practitioners in the United Kingdom and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and also the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Dr Daniel helped create the vision for QuickDoc after himself and co-founder Tania shared concerns about the lack of access that Canadians have to a Family Doctor service in Canada and wanted to create an online platform in which individuals can have easy access to prescriptions for certain common conditions which would not otherwise be available to them. Dr Daniel is a transformational leader and has a passion for creating equality in healthcare by using his extensive medical skillset in different settings. He has a vision of safe and affordable access to healthcare. He also volunteers his own time to work on healthcare projects in Zanzibar, Tanzania in which he is working alongside the Ministry of Health to improve trauma care and injury and the establishment of prehospital care. Before pursuing a career in Medicine, Dr Daniel worked as an Aeronautical Engineer specialising in Avionics for the Royal Air Force which helped hone his skills in problem-solving, leadership, teamwork and public service. His spare time is mainly occupied by enjoying the Canadian Outdoors and he enjoys snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking and hiking. He particularly enjoys multi-day hikes and back country camping with his family.
