We also offer a repeat prescription and refill service for those clients who want to renew their medication. We use the latest technology in medical history taking in order to generate your prescription quickly and ethically in accordance with National Guidelines.

QuickDoc was founded in 2023 and is revolutionising healthcare in Canada with safe and ethical prescription generation and medication that is delivered straight to your door.

Is QuickDoc a replacement for my Doctor?

QuickDoc’s services are designed to work alongside and in harmony with your Family Doctor or Medical Practitioner. As we only offer remote pre-programmed consultations and medical history taking, we cannot offer a full replacement service for your Primary Care Provider.

How can you assess my condition or concern remotely?

We have used industry experts to create specific online assessments tailor made to the individual conditions and medications in accordance with prescribing guidelines. Our Canadian Registered Medical Practitioners will review prescription requests before issuing a prescription to ensure they are safe, ethical and comply with current guidelines.

Who can use QuickDoc?
QuickDoc’s services can be used by any individual who is aged 18 years or older and is located in British Columbia Canada. We are unable to provide prescriptions to other countries at this time.

Online Requests

Explain how a QuickDoc Consultation works?

You will be required to create a QuickDoc account and be directed to your personalised client dashboard. After account creation, QuickDoc will utilise the latest technology through your client dashboard which will guide you through a medical questioning process (just as a Medical Prescriber would do face-to-face). You will have to complete one of our online consultations for each ailment you require treatment for. Once you have completed this process, one of our Medical Providers will review your answers and write you a prescription. Once this prescription has been written and consultation payment has been taken, our partner Pharmacy will ship this medication directly to your home address.

How quickly will a healthcare practitioner review my online request?

QuickDoc Medical Practitioners aim to review your online request and generate a prescription within 24 hours of receipt. This is often sooner if there are no medical queries to be addressed. If for any reason you have been waiting longer than 24 hours, please email [email protected] or message us from the client dashboard and we will look into this.

Can I complete my requests at any time?

YES! QuickDoc’s systems operate 24 hours a day. If we require further information from you with regards to your online request then we will be in contact with you via your patient dashboard.

What happens next after I complete my visit?

After you have answered the relevant medical questions, one of our Medical Practitioners will review your answers and if relevant, will write your prescription. Only once your prescription is written, we will take payment for the online request. The cost of medication is taken by our partner Pharmacy and they will ship your medication to your home address.

Why can’t I just get the medication without giving you my medical history?

QuickDoc operates under strict guidelines which ensure that any prescriptions that our Medical Prescribers write are safe, compliant and ethical. In order to ensure this compliance, we need to take a medical history from our clients.

Which Pharmacy do you use?

We have partnered with Pocket Pills, 'Canada's online Pharmacy', to give our clients a seamless user experience. Once a prescription has been generated, one of the team at Pocket Pills will be in contact with you via either telephone or email to confirm your prescription request, double check the details, answer any questions you may have and take payment. They will also handle any insurance queries.

Please contact [email protected] and we will be in touch to rectify this for you.

Does somebody need to sign for my package?

That depends on the type of medication you have selected. The majority of our medication does not need a signature; however some items may require a signature from the client.

Cost, Payments and Transactions

How much does QuickDoc charge per online request?

QuickDoc charges a fee for a prescription request, which is only charged once your request has been approved by one of our Medical Prescribers. The majority of requests are $35, but can vary depending on which treatment category the request is for. The $35 fee is per prescription request for any medication up to 12 months supply. It also includes access to our chat system through your patient dashboard.

Why is there a charge added on top of the medication costs at the checkout?

At QuickDoc we worked hard to try and bring you a quick, safe and efficient service and have partnered with fantastic pharmacies to offer, what we think is some of the best value medications on the market in Canada. The estimated price of your mediation also includes the cost of postage and tracking as required.

For us to assess and review your medication requests and ensure prescribing safety there’s a team working hard behind the scenes to make this all happen and we have to add a fee to cover this. For complete transparency in what you’re paying for, we list the most up to date estimated medication cost that the pharmacy will charge you and the QuickDoc processing fee separately on your bill at the checkout.

If you have insurance or a benefits package, you can claim this directly with our partner pharmacy or alternatively you can use your receipt to help claim your cost back.

How much does the medication cost?

Medication costs will vary per treatment and condition, depending on what is on your prescription or your preference for a brand versus generic medication. Our medication costs will be available to you upon purchase after a prescription has been issued.

How do I update my payment information?

You can update your payment information using your secure client dashboard.

At what point will I be charged for the request?

Once our Medical Practitioners have reviewed your online request and approved the request you will be charged for online visit. The pharmacy will contact you directly to charge for the medication. We list an estimated medication cost on our site.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most credit and debit cards via our payment platform.

Why do I see a transaction on my payment card for my online request even though my prescription was not approved?

When you submit an online request for medication at QuickDoc, we may pre authorize your payment card for the amount of the request and medication selected including any delivery charges. If your prescription is not approved, we will release that pre authorization back to the same payment card. It can take up to 3 business days for your bank statements to be updated appropriately.

I’ve already paid but my prescription hasn’t been approved, what happens to my money?

We try our very best to meet your expectations and medication requests at QuickDoc. Sometimes our clinical team may feel, for medical reasons, it’s not safe or appropriate to issue you a prescription. If this does happen, please don’t worry about your payment we will issue a full refund of your payment to the card details provided and there is no charge for the assessment.

If your medical situation changes you are very welcome to request a further assessment and also to continue to use the QuickDoc service for other medications you may require.

If you have applied for multiple medications only the one declined will be refunded and your order will be processed for the remaining medications.

Why can’t I see the price of my medication before submitting an online request?

Canada’s legislation forbids any supplier of prescription medications to display their prices online. The price of the medication on our website is an accurate estimate of what you will be charged our partner Pharmacy once your prescription is processed. The price of the medication shown will include the Pharmacy dispensing fee and delivery costs.

Insurance

Can I claim medication costs on my Insurance?

YES! Our partner Pharmacy will handle all this for you. As they will charge you directly for the medication, they have the facility to work with insurance companies to help you have affordable access to medication!

Why Do you not bill insurance providers directly?

At QuickDoc, we pride ourselves on speed and health ethicalities with healthcare access to all. We have a target market which includes those clients who may not have insurance. By not billing insurers directly, we are able to speed up our processes and also keep our costs low for those individuals who may be paying out of pocket for their medication. Our partner Pharmacy has the ability to bill insurers directly and this can be selected upon payment with them. If you require, you can get a receipt from your patient dashboard to send to insurers directly.

Can I claim the cost of prescription back through my insurer?

Upon completion of an online request and medication purchase; QuickDoc can provide you with a receipt which you can send to your own insurance. The $35 consultation fee is not normally able to be claimed back via insurance, just the cost of medication. Online requests through QuickDoc are not currently covered by insurers and therefore cannot be claimed through us, however each insurance policy is different and it may be worth contacting your provider. Many insurers offer reimbursement for medications, this will be at the discretion of the insurance company and their policies.

Our partner Pharmacy deals directly with insurers and this can be selected with them when paying for the medication.

You don’t allow direct billing for my insurance, how can I claim this?

Our partner Pharmacy has the ability to bill your insurance company directly, please select this option when they contact you to pay for medication.

At QuickDoc we aim to offer you a quick and efficient service and at this time do not operate directly with insurance companies to bill on your behalf. But don’t worry you can still use your insurance to cover some or all of the cost of your medications from QuickDoc.

Each insurance provider covers different medications and it’s very hard for our team to advise on this. You can use a copy of your official itemised QuickDoc receipt to include with a claim for costs to your insurance company and this should be accepted; depending on cover provided of course.

I need to provide additional information to my insurer before they will reimburse my medication costs.

If additional information is required in addition to the receipt provided on your client dashboard please email [email protected] and attach all applicable forms with the relevant sections filled out and signed. Completion is at our medical team’s discretion. If our team agree to complete the relevant forms a $20 fee per page will be applied.
